CASP Political Action Committee

The School Psychologists Political Action Committee (SPPAC) is the political action arm of CASP. The SPPAC oversees the association's political action fund and its contributions to various statewide political candidates and initiatives. SPPAC has an excellent track record when it comes to legislative advocacy. Its influence has been felt in the passage or defeat of many bills, as a result of its advocacy on behalf of California's students and the profession.

In addition to grassroots advocacy and professional lobbying, financial contributions are an important part of the process for gaining recognition of legislative platforms. Financial contributions to ballot measures and candidates who are supportive of CASP's legislative goals help ensure that we have the "ticket" we need to influence the political process. Each year SPPAC hosts a wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser at the CASP annual convention. Hundreds of school psychologists and their supporters attend this exciting event.

A contribution to SPPAC is a way for you to become involved. Your contributions can help ensure that school psychologists will continue to have a role in the political process, as well as promote and protect the profession of school psychology.

Our commitment to children and the profession must never waiver. Please mail your donation to SPPAC today. Real change can only be made when you get involved.
