Swine Flu Infomation and Resources
NASP, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of Education, and other education and health organizations are sharing information regarding the possible Swine Flu epidemic here in the United States.
As emphasized by Richard E. Besser, acting director of the CDC, current efforts are intended to convey caution and to increase preparedness. Awareness and prevention efforts are critical to reducing spread of the disease and minimizing its effects.
Specifically, the CDC and Department of Education are encouraging schools to become familiar with information and strategies to help reduce the effect of Swine Flu and begin to plan appropriate responses. CASP will continue to monitor recommendations and provide resources as appropriate.

Influenza is thought to spread person-to-person through coughing or sneezing. People should stay home if they feel any flu-like symptoms, take care to wash hands, etc., and call their doctors if symptoms become severe.
