The goal of the Association's public awareness campaign
is to position CASP and each school psychologist in the State as a resource on educational-related issues. One of the key tactics in this strategy is the development of a series of informational papers on topics specific to education and of interest and concern to administrators, teachers, parents, policy-makers, school board members, and a variety of other audiences.
Developed as companion pieces, each "Hot Sheet" and "Resource Paper" explores, explains, and offers assistance with a specific issue deemed to be of importance and relevance today.
Hot Sheets provide two pages of quick, succinct information on the topic along with general advice and recommended actions related to the issue. Each Resource Paper expands on the topic with eight to ten pages of thorough, referenced information. Often, depending on the topic, Resource Papers will provide examples of successful programs that have been implemented to address specific issues-teen suicide and school yard violence, for example.
Hot Sheets are available
from this web site for both members and non-members.
Resource Papers are
available from the CASP office. Members: free of charge,
Non-Members $1.00 each.
