Membership Benefits
We’re working to make CASP more relevant to your everyday needs as a school psychologist. More online services, more information on issues that affect your job, more opportunities to make yourself more valuable in the workplace – all developed with you in mind.
CASP Website
Make www.casponline.org your connection to all things school psychology. We’re in the midst of making the website more informative, more interactive and more exciting. By the time the 2010-2011 school year starts you will find many, many changes, including a bevy of online workshops you can use, informational handouts you can share with administrators, colleagues and parents, opportunities to register for live workshops held in regions throughout the state, updates on legislation and regulations that affect how you do your job, and much, much more!
This Week at CASP
Look for this weekly email to arrive in your inbox every Tuesday or Wednesday. It will give you timely updates on online and live workshops, legislation, association news briefs – a snapshot of what is happening that week in school psychology.
Annual Convention, Winter Conference and Summer Institute
These three continuing education and networking opportunities are highly anticipated by CASP members. The annual convention features nationally known psychology experts who not only update you on school psychology issues, but motivate you to take that information and use it in your schools. Winter Conference and Summer Institute supplement the convention with added opportunities to update your school psychology knowledge, or catch a workshop or two you may have missed at the convention. With CASP membership you get major discounts to these premier events which are held in the north and south of the state during alternate years.
CASP Webcasts
Can’t attend the annual convention or the two smaller conferences? No problem! CASP will offer as many workshops from these events online as possible, within weeks after they are presented live. Plus, CASP will continue to add workshops videotaped from other venues on its website. As a CASP member, you will get major discounts to download and view these workshops.
Student Representation
The Student Leadership Council is up and running. Members run the Student Room at the Annual Convention and have taken on many other responsibilities. Student members received discounts for workshops created just for them, such as the Navigating the Job Hunt and Thriving as a New School Psychologist workshop. You are school psychology’s future! Get involved today!
Survey Opportunities
Do you have a research project and need school psychologists to respond to your online survey? CASP can assist you with a new program. Our members would be instructed to go to your online survey, which would also be linked to our website for up to 30 days. CASP members receive this benefit at a discount. See the CASP website, www.casponline.org, for more information.
