California School Psychology Foundation – A Banner Year for Charitable Giving
By Rose DuMond
California School Psychology Foundation President
Since its inception in 1998, the California School Psychology Foundation has had many banner moments. Many of the ideas initially coming out of the foundation have been slow in developing due to limited funding. However, the Foundation is now experiencing a wealth of support and more school psychologists have shown interest in applying to its programs – so many that 2005 proved to be a banner year for awards and charitable giving. With a sound financial foundation at this point in time it is with great honor that we are able to support our profession, students, and groups in need.
The
Foundation continues to provide three different scholarships. The longest-running
scholarship, the Cultural and Linguistic Diversity (CLD) Scholarship, has been
the cornerstone of the CSPF.
