By the time you read this planning for the first California IDEA Reauthorization Summit will be well under way and representatives from state wide stakeholder groups will prepare to take on the challenge of collaboration and consensus building on issues which have great impact in the Reuthorization of IDEA.
CASP, in partnership with the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), is taking a lead role in the Summit which strives to bring stakeholder groups together to find common ground and participate in putting forth content which may be useful for policymakers in the decision-making process surrounding the Reauthorization of IDEA. The California IDEA Summit was to be held on January 18 at California State University, Sacramento, just as CASP Today was being mailed.
